Wave knitting 1

A nitting is naturally curved or even double curved. A single bed knitting shows this curvature at all sides, A double bed knitting is an equilibrium and becomes flat.

Waves inside the knitting by inserting stitches.

Using the E positioning of the knitting machine and knitting with progressing groups of needles waves are created in the knitting.

Depending of closing a loop around the end needles of the group of knitting needles, either holes are created or the structure remains closed.

The cap is made by knitting triangles.

In the back of the knitting the pattern resembles turbulance, and vortices.

Testing the shopping conditions of future clothing, where every garment in the rack will blink, will make sounds, moves, collects your data, tries to sell you something...
Quite unexpected behavior: people threw the garments on the floor, (like they do normally in shops), and tried to wear them while these items were wired to a central lipo battery which could be charged :-).

Parasites

All these sensors only want one thing of me: i have to charge them. They could be called parasites. I made a jacket for these parasites. The jackets consists of geometrical shapes and the sensors are in patches which can hide on these shapes, being camouflaged.
And guess what: one of the patches doesn't have to be charged, it charges itself and starts when enough electricity is generated by it's solar cell. Out of the sun, it continues for 15 minutes and then it stops again, being patient till the sun shines on its cell. This is not a parasite, it is a symbiont. Since this patch is warning me by vibrating when i walk in too much sun, our relationship could be called mutualism.

Goal: concepting negative carbon footprint garments. Method: speculative design.

Trend wear garments less times - buy more.
Future wear only once, not wash - good thing: saving water, avoiding detergents - bad thing: garbage dump.
Speculative design solution eat garment after wearing.
Research of baked seaweed, 焼寿司海苔.

Making seaweed (algae): eg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbIg4TS_Tvs
Nori is red seaweed, Porphyra.
No animal suffering - plant "suffering" is acceptable?
Minimal or negative carbon footprint.
glueing sheets with water (Sewing difficult)
No design waste, just eat the discarded parts, (or dilute in water and recuperate the electronics.)

Speculative design:
(meaning will be solved in the future)
comfort factor. 焼寿司海苔 brittle.
construct electronics which can be eaten - at the moment it should be recuperated before eating.
(this seems out of the question, but remember humans eat plants and even animals all the time, consisting of neurons, brains, complex cells, hormon systems ... many times more complex than some conglomerate of transistors.)
photosynthesis inside the 海苔, seaweed, generating energy (energy harvesting).

Digitalisation: (デジタル化)
Trend smaller devices, flexible, avoid batteries and charging.
Use energy harvesting equipment, supercaps.

Design:
Femininity, maximize variations, sexy, elegant, electronics small invisible.

Note: Kombu is brown seaweed, kombucha is "kombu - cha" 昆布茶 tea of kombu. Kombu, konbu, 昆布 means kelp, where the 布 - bu - means cloth. But the kombu of kombucha is not kelp, but the plaque of different micro organisms growing on tea plus sugar.
